1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the public marketing website operated by SpedLink LLC ("SpedLink," "we," "us," or "our").
The website provides information about SpedLink's special education documentation and workflow software, including opportunities to contact our team and request product demonstrations.
By using the public website, visitors agree to comply with these Terms and applicable law. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the website.
2. Website Use
Visitors may use the website to learn about SpedLink, review product information, contact our team, and request demonstrations.
Visitors must not interfere with website operations, attempt unauthorized access to systems or information, transmit malicious code, or use the website for unlawful purposes.
The public website is intended for general business and product inquiries. It is not intended for submitting student education records, individualized education programs (IEPs), evaluation reports, medical information, or other sensitive student information.
3. Contact and Demonstration Requests
Submitting a contact form or demonstration request does not create a customer relationship, subscription, software license, or school district service agreement.
SpedLink may respond to requests using the contact information provided. Visitors are responsible for providing accurate information and for having appropriate authority to communicate on behalf of an organization when representing that organization.
Product demonstrations, pilot participation, account access, pricing, and future services may be subject to separate arrangements.
4. Product Information
Information on this website describes SpedLink's products, intended capabilities, and approach to supporting special education workflows.
Features, availability, integrations, implementation arrangements, and service offerings may change as the product develops.
Website descriptions do not independently guarantee particular educational, regulatory, operational, or compliance outcomes. Specific commitments must be established through applicable written agreements.
5. Educational Decisions and AI-Assisted Features
SpedLink develops software intended to help authorized educators gather information, organize evidence, prepare documentation, and review materials used in special education workflows.
Certain product capabilities use artificial intelligence to assist with drafting and organizing information. AI-assisted output may contain errors, omissions, or information requiring correction or further verification.
Educators, school personnel, and applicable educational decision-making bodies remain responsible for evaluating records, reviewing documentation, and making educational decisions. SpedLink does not replace professional judgment or the responsibilities of an individualized education program committee.
These statements describe the intended role of the product. Authorized application use and the processing of student education records are governed by applicable agreements and requirements, rather than these public website Terms alone.
6. School District Agreements and Student Information
The public website is separate from the restricted SpedLink application and its student documentation workflows.
School districts and participating organizations are responsible for determining their authorized users and applicable educational procedures. Use of the application involving student information may require separate agreements addressing permitted processing, confidentiality, security, access, retention, and other responsibilities.
SpedLink's intended operating model is that participating school districts retain ownership and control of the student education records they provide. Specific rights and obligations must be established in the applicable agreements.
If a written agreement between SpedLink and a participating organization governs use of the application, that agreement controls the matters it addresses in the event of a conflict with these website Terms.
7. Intellectual Property
The SpedLink name, branding, website content, graphics, interface designs, and related materials are owned by SpedLink or used under applicable rights, except where otherwise indicated.
Visitors may view and use website materials for ordinary informational and business evaluation purposes. No ownership interest or broader license is granted through access to the public website.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of student education records or customer-provided information to SpedLink.
8. Website Availability and External Services
SpedLink may modify, suspend, or discontinue portions of the public website as needed for maintenance, improvements, business operations, or other reasons.
While we seek to provide accurate and useful information, the public website is provided on an as-available basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every website description will remain current.
The website may rely on third-party infrastructure or contain links to third-party websites. Those third parties may maintain their own terms and privacy practices.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, SpedLink disclaims warranties concerning the public website that are not expressly provided in a separate written agreement. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Privacy
Information submitted through public website forms is handled as described in the SpedLink Privacy Policy.
Visitors should review that policy for information about website inquiries, service providers, and privacy-related requests.
The public website Privacy Policy does not replace any additional data-handling requirements established in agreements involving student education records.
10. Updates to These Terms
We may revise these website Terms when our website, services, or applicable requirements change.
Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Changes will apply prospectively to website use after publication, subject to applicable law.
Separate agreements with school districts or other customers are not automatically amended merely because these public website Terms change.
11. Contact Information
Questions about these Terms or the SpedLink website may be directed to SpedLink LLC at sales@spedlink.org.
